I spent the second hurricane no-school day alone in my classroom - no mice - no people (except for my trusty sidekick Cody) and finished the last two bulletin boards for our AVID Quest - among a million other things. Can't wait to take pictures tomorrow and start putting the senior faces in the houses. I think I will keep it a secret until Day #2. Speaking of Day #2 ... I want to explain the number system I am using with my blogs. I did this blogging project with the AVID Class of 2010. I am back again for a second try, so this time the 2.2 stands for Year 2 - Day 2 (2.2) ... I pray that this year's AVID scholars embrace this journey and give it nothing but their best. I plan to prove that I can beat my first attempt and actually do this daily. It feels great to be back!! The new features of emailing and texting both photos and text to the blog make it inexcusable to miss a beat. Say CHEESE! ...... Let the clicking begin!
I really like the idea of the Houses that you cam up with for the Quest. I think the Houses actually make us as an AVID family responsible for each others actions. It will help us as seniors learn to become leaders and bring the other younger AVID scholars up with us on our Quest make our House the BEST GO ATLAS!!!!
ReplyDelete+20 for The House of Atlas! Thanks for being the first to post a comment and for seeing the WHY through the smoke and mirrors. You rock Jacquynn and I can't wait to witness all the great things you are going to accomplish this year.
ReplyDeleteThat's why she is an Atlas :)
ReplyDeleteBTW...I got mine started. No excuses. We are going to keep each other going.
