Back to life ... back to reality ...
OMG it sucks so bad ... here's what I walked into today:
Blank windows staring at me with clean angry eyes ... what the heck happened to my SAT signs that I spent HOURS making??????????
An email that stated my tutoring center that I just finished cleaning and getting ready for amped up usage is now being taken over again for HSA testing - say adios for the next 20 days...
Two classes of AVID scholars that did NOT spend time studying for the mother of all SAT vocabulary tests.
But I did manage to squeek out some creativity ... in order to make a big deal out of those students who have mastered the 100 words I came up with a poster ... Look who caught the SAT fever! I drew a thermometer and I'm putting the students' names who got an 80 or higher. 92% = 92 degrees. My AVID 11 class saw me making it and already by the end of the day I had students asking me if they made the thermometer - they are so funny - the things that kick them into their own potential ....
