What is up with all the AVID scholars in summer school? I'll tell you what's up ... their futures! Teri, Moshood, and Kennard have all chosen to subject themselves to summer school in order to get ahead or to get a higher grade to raise their GPA's. (other scholars not pictured but sighted are Tomide, Jasmine, Brittany and Nicholas) I'm so proud of each of them...and look at Teri - rockin' her AVID sweatshirt with pride! :)
But the flip side of this great news is the sad news - there were several AVID scholars who were told they had to take summer school in order to stay in AVID. They unfortunately didn't act now and will be on their own to navigate the waters of college admission.
