nothing less than a raging success!
Tonight I went in feeling tired but I left sated and satiated!!
Asia Blackwell earned the 2nd highest amount of scholarship money in all of Baltimore County!
Dymon Davis earned the 3rd hightest amount of scholarship money in all of Baltimore County!
Chris Morris was in the top 10!
New Town High School's AVID program earned the second highest total amount of scholarship money in Baltimore County! Woodlawn High School beat us by about $600,000 but they have double the amount of seniors that we do! The entire AVID program in BCPS earned over $9 million dollars in scholarships! Not bad for a bunch of "average" kids in "average" schools!
Then of course there is Shavonda. Her story brought the crowd of 950 people to tears and to their feet! She is truly an inspiration.
