Cody and I used our day off to complete his Silly Story Cereal Box. Instead of writing a traditional book report the assignment was to use a cereal box to advertise the story. Each side of the box has a special purpose: draw a picture of the funniest part, list the characters, describe the setting, list all the funny parts, and come up with a sequel to the book. Cody chose "There Is A Bird On Your Head" by Mo Willems. Elephant Gerald and Piggie are best friends and this is the second book we bought that stars these two crazy characters. The illustrations are the best part of the book. But I have to say that Mo Willems should take a look at Cody's sequel idea. His story idea was that Piggie meets a cute bunny who is a great dancer. After Piggie and the rabbit dance around for about an hour, Gerald starts to get jealous and sad because he can't dance. The rabbit teaches him and soon Gerald dances his way into a dance off and wins!
